Summary
Spamassassin 3.0.x has different syntax than 2.6.x

Spamassassin 2.6.x uses: subject_tag [Spam]
Spamassassin 3.0.x uses: rewrite_header Subject [Spam]
Subject_tag is ignored, however Webppliance still saves user_pref files with subject_tag.

Please Note that this Hot fix is re-release of hotfix released by kb 1953

The hotfix enables you to upgrade SpamAssassin to version 3.0.2 on Ensim Pro for Linux 4.0.3 servers running any of the following operating systems:

  • Fedora Core 1 (FC1)
  • Fedora Core 2 (FC2)
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES 3 (RHEL 3)

Patch Description: This is a hotfix for a upgrading to SpamAssassin 3.0.2 and to fix issues that arose after applying hotfix in kb1958
Please note that those running up2date (on RHEL) and yum update (Fedora) should include SpamAssassin package in their skip list.

Download:  ftp://ftp.ensim.com/outgoing/kb/4.0.3/spamassassin/2/
Please download only that rpm relevant to the operating system being used.

Installation Instructions:
 1 )Download the files relevant to your Operating System.

2) rpm -Uvh webppliance-spam_filter-4.0.3-*.rpm

3) rpm -Uvh webppliance-spam_filter-frontend-4.0.3-*.rpm

4) service spamassassin restart

5) service webppliance restart
