Installation instructions

Installing the patch on server

Complete the following steps on server:

1. Login to the server as administrator.
2. Stop the EnsimProvision Engine COM+ component. Open Start > Program > Administrative Tools > Component Services
   Navigate to : Computers > My Computer > COM+ Application > EnsimProvision Engine. Right Click > Shut Down
3. Open a command window and run this command "iisreset /stop"
4. Goto [InstallPath]*\cp\admin\bin\serviceComponents\msftp directory.
5. Backup existing msftpsvcFrontend.dll to c:\wwp_hotfix1\backup directory
6. Replace msftpsvcFrontend.dll with the version located at the same location from where you are reading this file.
7. Goto [InstallPath]*\cp\admin\bin\serviceComponents\webalizer directory.
8. Backup existing webalizerbackend.dll to c:\wwp_hotfix1\backup directory
9. Replace webalizerbackend.dll with the version located at the same location from where you are reading this file.
10. Start the EnsimProvision Engine COM+ component. Open Start > Program > Administrative Tools > Component Services
    Navigate to : Computers > My Computer > COM+ Application > EnsimProvision Engine. Right Click > Start
11. Open a command window and run this command "iisreset /start"

* Note: [InstallPath] is the directory where Ensim Pro is installed. The default installation directory is C:\Program Files\Ensim\WEBppliance.

Rollback instructions

Rollback of the patch on server

1. Login to the server as administrator.
2. Stop the EnsimProvision Engine COM+ component. Open Start > Program > Administrative Tools > Component Services
   Navigate to : Computers > My Computer > COM+ Application > EnsimProvision Engine. Right Click > Shut Down
3. Open a command window and run this command "iisreset /stop"
4. Goto [InstallPath]*\cp\admin\bin\serviceComponents\msftp directory.
5. Replace msftpsvcFrontend.dll with the version located at c:\wwp_hotfix1\backup directory
6. Goto [InstallPath]*\cp\admin\bin\serviceComponents\webalizer directory.
7. Replace webalizerbackend.dll with the version located at c:\wwp_hotfix1\backup directory
8. Start the EnsimProvision Engine COM+ component. Open Start > Program > Administrative Tools > Component Services
   Navigate to : Computers > My Computer > COM+ Application > EnsimProvision Engine. Right Click > Start
9. Open a command window and run this command "iisreset /start"

Testing Scope

How to Test 

1. For PR 42067 - Before applying this patch, enter multi-line text at Welcome Message and save it. Overview page will show this welcome message on single line. After applying patch overview page shows text on multiple lines.
2. For PR 42159 - Before applying this patch accessing webalizer report throws error for migrated sites from 3.6 to 4.0.0. Apply this patch and follow these steps:
   1. Generate some http traffic for the site, by browsing to the site either locally or from some other system on your network. Please ensure the following:
      a. The W3SVC log file format for the site is NCSA
      b. The short date format for the site is M/d/YYYY
   2. Go to Start->Settings->Control Panel->Scheduled jobs. Right click on the task 'At1' and select 'Run'. The webalizer cron job will get executed and webalizer reports will be generated.
   3. Access webalizer report through the Ensim Pro control panel.
